Yingjia Wang (王英嘉)

I am a final-year Ph.D. student at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), advised by Prof. Ming-Chang Yang.

I am broadly interested in storage systems and have published in top-tier conferences and journals, such as HPCA, SIGMOD, DAC, ICCAD, TC, and TOS. Prior to my Ph.D. study, I received my B.Eng degree from Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2022.

Research

I have broad interests in storage systems, including flash storage, computational storage, key-value storage, cloud storage, as well as their interesting intersections. Particularly, I am dedicated in modernizing storage systems with emerging storage abstractions such as Zoned Namespace (ZNS), Flexible Data Placement (FDP), and Elastic Block Storage (EBS) to pursue ultimate performance and resource efficiency. My research spans software, firmware, and hardware, often with the mindset of simple yet effective cross-layer co-designs to tackle intractable challenges.
